Getting Ready Photos that Capture Anticipation
The beginning of your wedding day is full of anticipation. Your friends and family have come together to support you and help bring the details of your wedding day plans together. During the getting ready portion of the day, I like to capture those special moments where your family helps put the finishing touches on your wedding day attire as well as candid moments like laughing with friends and toasting to the future.
As things come together, I document this part of the day with calm and intention, helping to set a tone for the candid approach. Using natural light, subtle movement and a supportive emotional presence, my approach as your Ottawa wedding photographer is unobtrusive, allowing you to remain fully present.
Joyful Ceremony Photos
Your ceremony is at the centre of your wedding day and the reason for bringing together all of your favourite people together. My role during the ceremony is to document moments quietly and respectfully without distracting your guests and family. As an experienced Ottawa wedding photographer, I understand how to work unobtrusively in a wide range of ceremony settings while respecting the unique elements you bring to your wedding ceremony.
When you look back on your photos from the day - you should see not only how your ceremony looked, but how it felt.
Celebratory Wedding Reception Photography
During the reception, it’s time to relax and celebrate your wedding and time with friends and family. My approach to this part of the day is entirely candid - capturing your entrance in the reception space as your guests welcome you, not only speeches but that laughter and tears that follow, and the joy that comes with dancing and singing all together. In the wedding reception, I balance natural and ambient lighting with flash as it’s needed to make sure all the documented moments are also flattering and true to the style and look you’ve created in the reception space.
