During wedding receptions my focus is on you and your guests in natural moments. Unless I’ve been asked to take a group portrait, I generally avoid direction at this time to maintain an unobtrusive profile and to make sure your focus is on having a good time at your wedding. My feeling is that your wedding is celebration first and foremost and that you should be free to enjoy the events in an unscripted way. Capturing those authentic interactions between people as they toast, laugh and dance the night away is what this part of the day is all about for me. One wedding guest once described me as weaving through the crowd “like water”, as I captured candids of the couple and their guests. I like to keep busy and capture as many smiling faces as I can so that you have mementos of the special people that showed up to cheer you on at your wedding.
